The Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) will begin accepting nominations for the 39th (2023) International Prize in Biology from late January
The International Prize in Biology is awarded annually by the Japan Society for the Promotion of Science (JSPS) to researchers who have made outstanding achievements in biological research and significant contributions to the advancement of research in fundamental biology worldwide. Recipients are awarded a medal and 10,000,000 yen, and are invited to give a special lecture at an international symposium. Last year’s prize was awarded to Dr. Katsumi Tsukamoto, Professor Emeritus at The University of Tokyo, for his work on the biology of fishes. This year’s prize will be awarded to researchers working in the biology of genomes. If you are conducting research in this field, you can find out more about prize here.
